Jennifer L. Gallo, PhD, is an Associate Teaching Professor of Psychology and Director of the Neuropsychology Concentration for the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Drexel University. Previously, she also served two years as Director of Undergraduate Studies within the Department of Psychology.
Professor Gallo received her PhD in Clinical Psychology (neuropsychology concentration) from Drexel University after completing her internship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Geropsychology Track. Professor Gallo’s areas of specialty training within neuropsychology include aging and dementia. Clinical and research interests include assessing and characterizing cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia, motor performance and functional independence in dementia, cognitive correlates of healthy aging and dementia syndromes, and applying functional technologies to address these issues.
Professor Gallo co-authored and published the Behavioral and Psychological Assessment of Dementia (BPAD) with Kara S. Schmidt, PhD. Gallo is active in many local and national professional organizations including the Philadelphia Neuropsychology Society (President 2013/2014), American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and the American Psychological Association including Division 2 (the Society for the Teaching of Psychology) and Division 40 (the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology).
